My Birthday!

Fri Sep 26, 2008, 4:41 AM
As of the 24th, I am now 18! Whatever that means. I suppose it means I can view adult deviations. Well, whatever. Nothing much happened on my actual birthday, but today a bunch of friends are coming round for dinner so that should be good. Other than that, I have chocolate. Oh, and I've been playing Silent Hill 4, so I'm roughly half way through that. Freshers week at uni starts next week. Well, in fact it starts tomorrow, but that's just a kindof open day thing where the parents can come along.

I've been keeping myself plenty busy with making YouTube videos. I pretty much upload anything and everything on there - whatever creative endeavors I think are worthwhile, I make a video of and upload. So there's a fair variety on there; playing instruments, original compositions, philosophy, voice acting, acting acting, etc. I've noticed most people on YouTube tend to specialise in what kind of videos they make, but I just upload whatever I put creative effort in to.

  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: The Plagues
  • Playing: Silent Hill 4

Heya! 'Tis true =). I saw my friend Jon (fast-quez) had taken an interest in your art and I thought I'd check it out. Your artwork is amazing - really unique I think, while still being something I can connect with ;). Great gallery!

My goodness. Your gallery has me amazed. The complexity and detail of the paintings you've done are just incredible!
Looking at your pieces has me fascinated by all the little brush strokes in the digital paintings. : D
:iconsarifus:
Ah, thank you very much! I'm glad you've taken note of the brushwork ;) I find that the stereotype is that digital paintings are all perfect and smooth, and tend to often use spraypaint/photorealistic effects. I make a conscious effort to keep my paintings...painterly. After all, a painting isn't just about the subject matter and colour - it's about texture and brushstrokes and all sorts of things. ;)
